Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This position offers maternity leave coverage for Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) at an elementary level within a public school district setting. The assignments include both virtual and onsite opportunities, providing flexibility for qualified professionals seeking short-term contracts.
Location: Anoka, MN (Serving elementary schools in Brooklyn Center, Champlin Park, and Blaine)
Contract Duration: Various maternity leave periods between mid-December and mid-April
Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday
Caseload and Coverage Details:
- Position 1: 12/15 to 3/23, 0.2 FTE virtual coverage (Elementary in Brooklyn Center)
- Position 2: Early/mid January to early/mid April, 0.4 FTE virtual coverage (Elementary in Champlin Park)
- Position 3: 1/28 to 3/16, 0.2 FTE virtual coverage (Elementary in Blaine)
Required Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) license with current CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence)
- Tier 3 or Tier 4 Minnesota Education Certificate
- Experience in school-based speech-language services
- Virtual candidates must be currently working in Minnesota and comply with the state law limiting work hours to 40 per week across assignments
- Not open to Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs)
- Candidates open to multiple positions should specify caseload preferences corresponding to the assignments above
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language evaluations, interventions, and progress monitoring in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with educational staff and parents to support student communication needs
- Maintain detailed, timely documentation and compliance with district and state protocols
- Provide services in a virtual setting when assigned, ensuring confidentiality and effectiveness
